RM of St Clements

Welcome to the Rural Municipality of St. Clements, a fast growing municipality bordering the Red River and Lake Winnipeg, about 30 minutes north of Winnipeg, Canada.  Starting south of Lockport and heading northward to Grand Marais- a historic Metis community, your year –round relaxation and recreation center can be found here.

Known for its many parks and beach communities, it is "the place to be" for swimming & boating; fishing, hunting & hiking; snowmobiling & skiing. At the northern edge of the municipality is Grand Beach Provincial Park on the shores of Lake Winnipeg.

Agriculture is also at the heart of the RM, with grain crops, livestock, market gardening and honey farming. Good quality land has been found here for centuries and the community farmers bring a strong rural influence to the area.

St. Clements, one of the oldest municipalities in Manitoba is rich & diverse with heritage. Awareness of many heritage sites; such as St. Peter's Church, the Van Horne Farm, The Bunn House, the site where the railway used to turn 90 degrees, and the site of the dynamite plant are some you may want to visit. You will want to visit the annual summer fairs and festivals to deepen your heritage knowledge or take the driving tour which is available at www.stclementsheritage.com. Come Celebrate our Heritage with us!
