Town of Teulon



Teulon is a great place to visit, whether you're a visitor from far away, or a Manitoban looking for a Sunday drive destination! Whatever your interests, whatever your age, there is something for you in Teulon.

Teulon is readily accessed by road. Located at the junction of Provincial Highways 7 and 17, Teulon is an easy drive from most Interlake communities and attractions.

The Petunia has been chosen as Teulon’s official flower. The town has incorporated it throughout, using it in its planters and banners, making Teulon the “Petunia Capital of Manitoba”!

Teulon has a number of Special Events throughout the year that are a must attend for visitors and residents in the area! These include the Teulon Veselka Ukrainian Festival at the end of May, Canada Cultural Day on July 1,the Teulon Agricultural Fair in mid August, the Teulon Tractor Pull also in August and Pumpkinfest at the end of September.

Unique attractions in the area:
The Teulon and District Museum is a must see when visiting the Town of Teulon. It is located in the beautiful Teulon-Rockwood Green Acres Park and is open from July 1 to September 1. Group and school tours can be arranged by appointment.

While visiting the Museum you will see the restored home of Dr.Hunter, a Presbyterian minister who set up a medical mission to serve Ukrainian pioneers in the area. There is also a country schoolhouse, a Ukrainian log house with an outdoor bake oven,a doll house with over 350 dolls, and St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church withoriginal contents from the 1920’s. There are also many artifacts on display from Pioneer Days!

Teulon is proud to have the only castle in the Interlake! Come see our Castle Sign as you enter Town!

Recreation & Community places:

Teulon-Rockwood Centennial Centre - Community Hall available for large and small gatherings.
Teulon-Rockwood Arena - Hockey, skating facility in winter and a large indoor area used for the Veselka Dance Festival and other indoor events (Teulon Pumkpinfest) during the year.
Teulon Curling Club - Curling club has league play during the winter season including bonspiels.
Teulon-Rockwood Green Acres Park and Campground - The Park is approximately 80 acres & is located at the south end of the Town. It houses a dozen baseball diamonds, rodeo grounds, barbeque area, Museum, Art Centre, Curling Rink, Arena, Soccer Pitches, two food booths, horseshoe pits, Lions playground, a wading pool, campground and a toboggan hill. The campground is nestled in the trees at the south end of the Park. A small stream meanders through the trees and a 2.5 km of walking trail follows the stream.
Teulon Golf and Country Club -This 18-hole golf course found on the northeast side of Teulon hosts beautifully maintained and well manicured greens & fairways. Tournament play,memberships available, Golf pro on site, rentals available.

Teulon Ukrainian Veselka Dance Club - This dance club is 34 years old and hosts a Ukrainian Dance Festival the last weekend of May for the past 20 years.
