Winnipeg Beach "Where Manitoba Plays" is a tourist destination for thousands!  The beautiful mile long crescent beach, fine dining, games and activities for everyone and weekly entertainment on the Bandstand - everything from Japanese Drumming to Celtic Rock, Salsa at the Beach, every Saturday throughout the summer,& Sunday's of the long weekends. 

 Winnipeg Beach is north of Winnipeg, a mere 45-minute drive,on Hwy #9. Known for the Water Tower, which is over 80 years old and in it's Hey Day the "Rollercoaster" and the CPR Dance Hall were tops & are still talked about.

 The Town has "Boardwalk Days" annually, a big Midway that takes up Main Street for three fun filled days, of rides and live entertainment.  Winnipeg Beach for many years comes alive in February for the " Wonderful Winter Weekend" with snowmobile races, fishing derby, beer gardens, kids carnival, and many more activities.

 Unique attractions in the area:

Bandstand- A stage for weekly free entertainment, found on Main Street park area with beautiful Lake Winnipeg as its background and the mile long crescent beach.

Boardwalk- An old fashioned Boardwalk thru the park and along the beach / shoreline.
Boundary Creek Marina- Marina between Wpg. Beach & Gimli provides accommodations for 160 vessels. Clubhouse services available- includes showers, washrooms and a comfortable licensed lounge.
Skate board park- Beside the Caboose Tourism Info Centre.

"Whispering Giant" or "Anishinaabe" [meaning distinct society] is a tribute to the Ojibwa, Assiniboine & Cree of Manitoba. Stands 35 ft. tall & weights 9,000 kg. It is the 67th carving in a long trail of Whispering Giants that started in 1970 & now reaches thru most of North America.

Winnipeg Beach Water Tower- This lasting symbol of the era of the steam locomotive stands high above the sandy beach on Lake Winnipeg. Over 80 years of memories standing guard by the lakeshore.
