Town of Arborg

Situated 100 KM North of Winnipeg, the Town of Arborg was originally settled in the 1800's by Icelanders. That culture has now been joined by a number of others to create a diverse population who live, work and play together harmoniously. Surrounded by a large rural population, and only 30 minutes from Lake Winnipeg, Arborg is ideally situated to offer the best of both worlds: small town hospitality, the many conveniences of an urban centre and the ability, with a short drive, to get away from it all.

Arborg serves as the commercial centre for the area and offers a variety of businesses and services. As well, the surrounding area has a number of large industrial and agricultural related businesses. We are happy to have so many businesses that enable our residents to shop, live and work locally.

Daycare and schools, from K - 12, as well as health care, seniors and assisted living housing, are among the many amenities the Town of Arborg offers. Our Recreation Centre offers a variety of winter and summer sports for people of all ages.
