Congratulations Joyce Neyedly on receiving the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal

The Interlake Tourism Association is proud to announce Joyce Neyedly, Chairperson & 30 year Volunteer with the Manitoba Highland Gathering has been awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
This medal is awarded to Canadians who make significant contributions and achievements in their communities and in Canada.


Joyce Neyedly was honored with the presentation of this medal at the Opening Ceremonies of the 46th Annual Manitoba Highland Gathering that took place in Selkirk on Saturday. Presenting the medal to Joyce was Selkirk/ Interlake MP James Bezan.

Congratulations Joyce! We are very proud to have you as part of our regional tourism organization and for all the excellent work you do to bring such honour to you and the organizations you belong to. 


A new commemorative medal was created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada. The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal is a tangible way for Canada to honour Her Majesty for her service to this country.

At the same time, it serves to honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians.

During the year of celebrations, 60 000 deserving Canadians will be recognized.
